BEAUMARIS – DOUBLE STOREY ADDITION AND RENOVATIONS

Our clients bought a house with an incomplete extension, then worked with their Duncan Thompson designer to reinvigorate and adapt the house to their large family’s needs. The result was a striking house with multiple living areas and 6 bedrooms flowing across three different floor levels.

BRIGHTON – SINGLE STOREY ADDITION & ATTIC-SPACE CONVERSION

What was originally intended as a large open-plan living/dining/kitchen area at the rear of this classic California Bungalow grew to include a converted attic space, providing even more versatility and space for our clients.

CAMBERWELL – UPPER STOREY ADDITION

A slightly unusual site, wider than it is deep, meant that the best solution for a classic two-bedroom plus rumpus plus bathroom upper storey extension was to push it to the front of the house. This allowed us to extend in matching brickwork and to present a bold façade for added value and street presence.

BENTLEIGH EAST – DOUBLE STOREY ADDITION

A large two storey extension comprising a new master suite, living space, kitchen, and an upper storey with two bedrooms, study, and bathroom.

MALVERN EAST – UPPER STOREY ADDITION

Three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a large rumpus room upstairs provide perfect zoning in this large family home. Coupled with a new alfresco dining area at the rear, the result for the client is a great lifestyle and a great investment.

KEW – DOUBLE STOREY ADDITION

A large upper storey extension designed to complement and enhance the detailing of the existing house.

SURREY HILLS – POOL-HOUSE

Duncan Thompson designed and built a grand pool-house and store-room, complete with multi-fold doors and a kitchenette. The work was done in consultation with the landscapers and the pool builders to ensure an integrated and comprehensive transformation of this home’s outdoor living space.
